Prototype Solar Dryer put on Test at JNP

A prototype user friendly Solar Dryer has been developed at Jigme Namgyel Polytechnic, Dewathang as part of the activities under the Centre for Appropriate Technology (CAT) unit of the Institute. The Dryer has been designed and fabricated by Mr. Denten Zangpo, faculty in Mechanical Engineering with the help of Second Year Mechanical engineering students.

Review of Programmes at Jigme Namgyel Polytechnic

On 18^th and 19^th November 2011, the major review of programmes was held at Jigme Namgyel Polytechnic. The Diploma programmes in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical engineering, validated and delivered at Jigme Namgyel Polytechnic, were reviewed. Judgments were made about the emerging academic standards, the emerging achievement of students, proposed changes to the programmes and the quality of learning opportunities provided.
